“Sarmast” Turtleneck Dress

Inspired by a poem by Omar Khayyam:

“Drink wine, for this is eternal life;
This is the harvest of your youthful days.
When flowers bloom, wine flows, and friends are joyful,
Be happy in the moment — for this is life itself.”

Creative Process

Khayyam’s poetry, with its profound reflection on the transience of life and the importance of embracing the present moment, became the core source of inspiration for this piece.
The designer sought to translate this philosophy into a wearable visual form through abstract calligraphy and a free, fluid silhouette.
The yellow motifs — symbols of light, vitality, and life’s joy — appear like poetic verses resting on the garment, while the black background represents depth of thought and the concept of eternity.
