طراحى اثر «خاموش» از شعر هوشنگ ابتهاج الهام گرفته شده.
اين شعر، تضاد ميان غم و عشق را بيان مى كند.
چهره اى آرام وساكن، مركزى ترين عنصر اثر است.
اين چهره، گویی از دنياى مادى گسسته و به آرامشی درونى دست يافته است. زنى با گل قرمز بر سرش، نمایانگر عشق و زيبایی است كه در برابر دردهاى درونى مقاوم مى ماند.
رنك سرخ تيره، اشاره به زخمى نهفته دارد، خطوط طلايی ظريف، همچون رشته هاي نامرئی ، از قلب اثر مى گذرند .اين خطوط، نماد اميدى هستند كه در دلٍ تاريكى مى درخشد. رنگ طلایی، به عنوان رنگی روشن واميدبخش، در تضاد با رنك هاى تيره قرار گرفته. رنگ آبى، نماد آرامش وعمق احساسات، که در اين اثر غالب است.
در كل، "خاموش" تلاشى است براى تجسم درگیری هاى درونى ميان عشق وغم وبيان قدرتى كه در دل عاشق وجود دارد.
